Performing three concerts a year with professional soloists and orchestra, we are fast broadening our repertoire singing music from all genres with a truly varied programme of the highest quality. We are a non auditioned choir, always keen to encourage new members, particularly Tenors. We rehearse on Mondays from 7.30 to 9.30 at St Peter's Church, Wyndham Square, Plymouth.

Initially formed in 1987 simply as a means for those interested to gather together to sing...  moreThe Outer Banks Chorus is a group of 80+ singers dedicated to bringing excellent choral music of all kinds to Dare County, North Carolina and the surrounding areas. Initially formed in 1987 simply as a means for those interested to gather together to sing, more formal concerts were later organized and presented. In addition to two planned concerts a year (a Christmas concert in the Fall and a Spring concert), there are frequently requests from local organizations for appearances. For example, in the spring of 2011, the group performed at the Wright Brothers Monument for the Centennial of the Wright Brothers Glider Flight. The repertoire of the Outer Banks Chorus ranges from the Classical to Broadway, and spirituals of all kinds and in different languages. Recently the chorus has sung a number of premiere performances of pieces by contemporary composers. All are invited to hear the chorus sing exceptionally lovely and wonderful choral music.  less

In their sound they’re combining variety of styles with an emphasis on gospel and pop. They won the 2nd prize in international competition in Verona, Italy in 2008. In 2011. they won silver prize in Rimini, and also, the special prize for the best group up to 12 singers. During 2012. they performed in 3 contests, in Gorizia (ITA) - 1st prize in pop cathegory, Graz (AUT) - bronze in pop cathegory and Rijeka (CRO) - 1st prize in gospel and jazz.  less

Our latest performance was back up for Barry Manilow! Our choir was founded in March, 2010 by founding director Matt Deller contact us at http://www.soundsofthesouthwestsingers.com/home We have performed on the stages of New York’s Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. We have sung our way through Germany and Austria and on two separate occasions at Disneyland and California Adventures. We had the honor of performing at Pearl Harbor and aboard the USS Missouri in Hawaii. Our choir also participated in a combined concert with Southwestern College in Chula Vista, CA and last fall we were chosen to be a part of a larger ensemble to sing in Rome, Italy, performing at the Vatican. Himig Batingaw was founded in March of 1979 by group of graduating students of Imus Institute to sing for that year's baccalaureate mass. In the first few years of the choir's existence, they conducted rehearsals at the church belfry; hence the name Himig (melody) and Batingaw (peal of bells) was born. The choir is very influential in the rise and development of choral music in the parish and having introduced new pieces for liturgical use most of which are composed or arranged for the group and having graduated noted local musicians from its ranks. The choir began to tread new ground under the directorship of Mr. Edward Gerodias in the late 1980's then on to Mr. Rey Roland Bergado in the late 1990's, both sought after pianists. This period witnessed a string of successful concerts, and a Grand Prize at the first Paskuhan sa Imus Choral Competition. From its first steps it attracted attention to the musical community and it also achieved a significant success. Since 2000, the choir led by honored artist of Belarus Natalia Mihailova. Sacred music and jazz, classical and modern music organically and naturally coexist in the repertoire of the choir. The creative possibilities of the collective, consisting of 30 professional musicians, are inexhaustible. They constantly work on new programs of Russian works (D. Bortniansky, P. Tchaikovsky, S. Rachmaninov, G.Sviridov) and Western classics (I.S.Bach, G.Gendel, D.Bukstehude, W.A. Mozart). Then they prepared premieres of works by contemporary Belarusian composers as S.Kortes, V.Kopytko, A.
