Within the Choir there are acting two ensembles: children’s Choir «Brevis» (vocalists from 13 to 18 years of age) and a Vocal ensemble «Brevis» (girls Choir - vocalist from 18 to 30 years of age). All of the vocalists started their «internship in singing» with well-known children’s Choir of Osijek, i.e. «Osječki zumbići» (Tiny mosquitoes of Osijek). Up-to-now, the Choir had a series of successful performances throughout the territory of Croatia - in Osijek, Zagreb, Split, Varaždin, Šibenik and also abroad - in Orašje (Bosnia & Herzegovina), Budapest, Pecs (Hungary), Athens (Greece), Salzburg, Graz, Klagenfurt, Villach, Wienna (Austria), Pforzheim, Munich, Düseldorf, Speyer, Sindelfingen, Mosbach (Germany), Helsingborg (Sweden),Xiamen (China), USA (New York), Canada, (Montreal, Toronto), Bulgaria (Varna), Poland (Poznan). Our collective history began in 1936 when Vladislav Sokolov (who was a a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory) created a Children's Choir, which is almost 70 years was a model of Russian choral art throughout the Soviet Union and in many foreign countries ...  moreOur collective history began in 1936 when Vladislav Sokolov (who was a a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory) created a Children's Choir, which is almost 70 years was a model of Russian choral art throughout the Soviet Union and in many foreign countries . 2008 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor Sokolov, in the anniversary concert attended Choir, consisting of pupils of Children's Choir. After the speech the former pupils of Children's Choir - people of different professions and ages , realized that they all share a love of music and choral singing , decided not to leave, and formed a new team . Our first CD-drive, consisting of 19 works of Russian and foreign classics, Russian folk songs, songs by modern composers, was recorded in 2013. Our Choir took part in competitions and festivals in Russia, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Ireland, Belgium where repeatedly became the winner.  less

The words are my own and tell of children playing their games in the dusty streets (ie of Bethlehem) unaware that a miracle has happened and asking them to look up to the angels and join their singing. The performance here is by the Composer's Choir conducted by Daniel Shaw.  

Truly, how excellent the loving-kindness of the Lord is. And we as His children shall be abundantly satisfied with the fullness of His house. Amen

Every one of them have learned and recorded ind...  moreThe Junior High Students of the Colegio Sembradores de Amistad in San Luis Potosí, Mexico show us that music is an universal language that brings us together, defeating every obstacle like time and space. Every one of them have learned and recorded individually a part of an original song (Vuela Alto = Fly High). When brought together, this parts sums to a wonderful show of talent and music. This project was made for the graduation prom by students aged between 13 and 15 years old. They show us that the only thing that matters to achieve anything is take the risk and surrender to your dreams. More than a third of them have never sung to an audience before (including Linda, the soloist). The music brings us together, it allows us to raise our voice to the universe and with it "Ni la distancia podrá separarnos" (Not even the distance can take us apart).  less

The first of the three verses is sung in German, the second in Korean, the last in English - so each Choir has to learn to pronounce the language of the other, an adventure! With simple, poetic words, "Song without borders" deals with the chance of children to create a future worth living for the adults of tomorrow through mobility, empathy and energy. The music to it illustrates in the first verse the sea as a metaphor of eternal movement, in the second the feeling together, in the third the positive action of holding together.  less
