Text: MOLT LLUNY D'AQUÍ
Sé una ciutat, molt lluny d'aquí, dolça i secreta,
on els anys d'alegria són breus com una nit;

els camps humils i alegres s'obren al capaltard;
en el seu gran repòs l'ànima es fa l... less

We are dedicated to quality performances, music education, and community service. As the resident choral Ensemble of the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts, we perform a varied repertoire from classics to Broadway and rock to jazz in two main concerts, one during the Christmas season and one in the spring, with additional benefit and collaborative performances throughout the year. Scheduled auditions for new members are held in August and January of each year.
Our mission is to enhance the cultural and musical life of the community and to provide an opportunity for those interested in choral music to participate in these musical endeavors.

Come all you fair and tender girls
That flourish in your prime
Beware, beware Keep your garden fair
Let no man steal your thyme
Let no man steal your thyme.
for when your thyme it is past and gone
He'll care no more for you
And every place where your thyme was waste
Will all spread o'er with rue
Will all spread o'er with rue.
The gardener's son was standing by
Three flowers he gave to me

In May, 2013, composer Ola Gjeilo spent 3 days on the Central Washington University Campus, joining the choir in recording 4 of his pieces. This performance of Gjeilo's "Luminous Night of the Soul" is from that session.
The other pieces were "Sanctus" for a Cappella choir, and "Across The Vast, Eternal Sky", also with the composer at the piano and joined by the Kairos Quartet.
The final piece, "Ubi Caritas II: Through Infinite Ages", was recorded both in an unaccompanied rendition (how it is written and published) and in a version with Mr. Gjeilo improvising an accompaniment to the choir.
This was Ola's second time on CWU's campus. His first visit was in the spring of 2011 and yielded 5 videos of his music, a wide-ranging interview with the composer and other bonus material... less
