In the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning ...  moreIn the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' the champions competed in, the Choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals. We would like to give special thanks to our main sponsor Finansbank, transportation sponsor Pegasus Airlines and everyone who has supported and given us the opportunity to take great pride in this success. We aim to make chor...  moreLeeds Male Voice Choir is a vibrant and dynamic Choir of fifty men that performs throughout Leeds and Yorkshire. With an inclusive approach our members have different levels of singing experience and come from a variety of backgrounds. We aim to make choral singing as accessible as possible to all men. Our performances offer something for all tastes with an eclectic mix of folk, opera, pop, sacred and classical pieces. The Choir selects a diverse range of Music Music which is both familiar and new to our audiences enabling us to touch on as many different styles and genres as we can. We are always keen to hear from potential new members. You don't need to be able to read Music and many of our members have not sung in a Choir before. As long as you can sing in tune and are willing to learn, then you are half way there. A disciplined approach and an enthusiasm for a wide range of Music will also stand you in good stead.  less
