This choir performs 20-30 times a year at various school, and community events. They placed 1st at the Alberta Provincial Music Festival in May 2012. They perform a variety of styles of music with an emphasis placed on A Cappella arrangements.

During its 25 years of activity, the ensemble has won several first prizes in choral competitions in Israel and Europe, performed in many musical festivals and events, as well as TV shows and radio programs. The ensemble collaborated with top Israeli musicians such as Yoni Rechter, Alon Olearchik and many more. The objective was to bring about musical performances...  moreThe LAZ EKWUEME CHORALE was founded in October 1974 with a view to getting together in a small choir the best available and professionally trained Singers in Lagos, the then Federal Capital of Nigeria. The objective was to bring about musical performances (of choral works by foreign and Nigerian composers) of sufficiently high standard for international consumption, within the limitations of national resources. The CHORALE which has grown in size to over 100 Singers has given numerous concerts in Lagos and other towns in Nigeria, including Aba, Abakaliki, Abeokuta, Abuja, Benin, Calabar, Eket, Enugu, Ibadan, Ife, Nsit Atai, Oko, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Umuahia and Uyo. It has performed many times on Radio and Television and has featured on many State, National and International functions. It was the nucleus of the Nigerian National Choir for FESTAC 77.
