We perform to a high standard and have a friendly but hardworking atmosphere. There is no audition but some previous experiece, past or present, and the ability to read music can be very helpful. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings, 7:45pm to 9:45pm, at St Andrew's Community Church, Hall Street, Stockport, SK1 4DU. A two minute com...  moreThe CWU Chamber choir (Gary Weidenaar, director) performs movements 1 & 2 of "Songs for Braithwaite" by CWU Faculty member and composer Vijay Singh. "Songs for Braithwaite" was inspired by some of the poems of William Stanley Braithwaite. A two minute commentary (at 7:45 of the video) by the composer follows the performance of the two pieces. The choir has also recorded YouTube videos that feature music of Claudio Monteverdi, Ola Gjeilo, John Muehleisen and Einojuhani Rautavaara., and Tomás Luis da Victoria. Kapadokya/Avanos’ta Hititler’den beri süregelen çömlekçilik geleneğine ev sahipliği yapan, Dünya’nın ilk ve tek yeraltı seramik müzesi olma özelliğini taşıyan Güray Müze, etkileyici akustiğiyle Kapadokya Korolar Festivali katılımcılarını ağırladı. Festival kapsamında çeşitli çoksesli eserler seslendiren Anchorus Çoksesli Korosu; KoroSolo, Procne Kadın Korosu ve Ychorus Vokal Topluluğu ile festivalin değerlendirme kurulu tarafından değerlendirildi.
