The Choir is the oldest College Choir in Ghana and arguably in West Africa; established in 1964. The Choir is inspired by the mission of singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs as an act of worship to the glory of God and to minister to the souls of men. Over the years, the Choir is been noted for very inspiring and sensational concerts and oratorios that seek to fulfill the mission above. Very recent of such ministrations include; Israel in Egypt (2008 and 2010), Indulci Jubilo(2015), Handel's Chandos Anthems (2016), Singspiration (2017),and Laudate Deo (2018). The Choir has through these platforms touched the lives of many deprived entities through her social welfare responsibilities. We can't say it all and ignore the wonderful personalities the Choir has nurtured over the years. The song first premiered at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts on May 18, 2019. This recording was made at the conclusion of the Chorale's June 2, 2019 performance at Old Donation School.

The choir continues the tradition of the Akademski pevski zbor v Ljubljani (Academic Choir of the University of Ljubljana) founded in 1926 by France Marolt, which consisted of male singers only. In the years between 1938 and 1940 Marolt also conducted the Female Academic choir. After the cultural silence held during the Second World War, the choir recommenced its activity, this time as a mixed choir under a new name, Akademski pevski zbor Tone Tomšič. The choir has always been led by recognized conductors such as: France Marolt, Radovan Gobec, Janez Bole, Lojze Lebič, Igor Lavrič, Marko Munih, Jože Fürst, Jernej Habjanič and Stojan Kuret. The Chorale is from Northern California in the San Francisco Bay Area. We perform twice a year in April and November. The choir also travels internationally to such places as Canada, Italy, Hungary, Puerto Rico, Morocco, and Spain. Our goal when we travel is to collaborate with choirs from the region we are visiting and perform concerts together. Our repertoire ranges from Mozart to Ola Gjeilo to Eric Whitacre and many more.
