To pierce my heart
With songs of Praise
Will I drive his anger away
Jesus has done all things well

And when on that bright day I rise,
And join the anthems of the skies,
Above the rest this note shall swell,
Jesus has done all things well.

This was originally published on the Embro Thistle Singers blog.

by Philipp Heinrich Erlebach (1657-1714), based on the melody published in Johannes Kugelmann's 1540 collection.
In this performance I have sung the first part of the original melody (as countertenor) followed by the Erlebach setting (as the dwsChorale - one-man multitrack
choir).
I have added trills to the dotted crotchets in the unannotated violin parts, since these seem to be appropriate, and I have also added my own bowings. (Strings
and harpsichord are Garritan samples).

As well as attending weekly rehearsals, the members of this ensemble are committed to music studies and/or voice training. They also participate in a variety of wonderful performance opportunities, recordings and a touring program.
Brisbane Birralee Voices is acknowledged on home shores and abroad as one of Australia's finest children's choirs. The program encourages young Singers to develop their vocal technique and attain musical excellence and there is a strong focus on nurturing the individual in a broader sense.
In addition to the excitement of achieving high artistic goals and the personal enrichment experienced by each member, there is an emphasis placed on the benefits of sharing their gift of music with others and the intrinsic value of music within society. This helps develop generosity of spirit, tolerance and acceptance of cultural diversity.
