We pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere and the quality of our singing. We are let by Will Welsford who gives his considerable experience to help us find our best voices. We sing everything from madrigals to musicals, folk to funk and have a great time doing it! Always open to new members, particularly sopranos at the moment!  

We're just starting an exciting new opportunity for people to come together to enjoy music and have fun with it in a friendly setting. Members won't need to be able to read music but they will need to be able to sing in tune. Members won't need to be able to read music but they will need to be able to sing in tune. We aren't charging a fee but we'll ask for donations to cover the cost of using the building and we'll find a way to fund the sheet music. We are dedicated to educating audiences of all ages in music from the Medieval period through the 21st century through high quality performances by its professional vocal ensemble, Kantorei Choral Ensemble. Kantorei is largely unconducted which provides a unique connection to the audience, creating an unusually intimate performance and audience experience. En 2011 reanuda su actividad presentándose en el “I Encuentro de Música Sacra”, organizado por el Coro de ex alumnos de la UC. Además participa en la “V Temporada Oficial Coral del Centre Catalá”, en el lanzamiento de la fundación coral “Alejandro Pino”, en la “VII temporada Coral de Codelco” y en la “V Temporada Coral de la Universidad Santo Tomás.” En 2012, junto al Coro de Estudiantes, Fact. Ingeniería y Orquesta UC, interpretan el Oratorio “Cristo en el Monte de los Olivos” de Ludwig van Beethoven, bajo la dirección general del maestro Víctor Alarcón., se presentan en la VI Temporada Oficial Coral del Centre Catalá”. PG Carnivalesque" under the patronage of Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech, attracted several hundred people who listened to daring performances of popular pop music hits. During the performance we heard choral arrangements of hits such as: "Dancing Queen", "Memory", "California Dreamin'" and "Maria". This time it was not Mozart or Bach, but ABBA, Queen and songs from the musical West Side Story that graced the walls of the Gdansk University of Technology in carnivalesque musical artistic creations. Jazz musicians performed along with the choir, and the musical effects were accompanied by a unique lighting arrangement, which required appropriate space and audience arrangement. The more-than-hour-long performance by the Academic Choir of the Gdańsk University of Technology, conducted by Prof. Mariusz Mróz and accompanied by musicians from the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, ended with joint singing, encores and a standing ovation.  less
