Our repertoire has about 80 a capella works (from medieval to contemporary composers), large sacred forms by Haendel, Mozart and Mendellsohn Bartholdy and 40 carols. We have performed at several festivals and international events (Germany, France, Switzerland, Bulgaria). Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' The champions competed in, The choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals. Biography The Celestial City Choir was initiated by two music students at University of Education, Winneba in 2010. It's formation or foundation began in early January 2011. The members who contributed to The founding were all members from Bantama Seventh-Day Adventist Church about 8 members. The BASC has been performing on a regular basis on each of Broadway Academy’s Showcase that is held at The end of each academic term. Performers of The BASC start from The age from age of 13 and to a maximum age of 28 years old. BASC performs according to a certain Theme for each performance. This year for The BICF2018, The BASC has chosen The Theme of Hamilton, from The award winning Broadway Musical Hamilton. BASC is under The vocal direction of Dr Casey Broadway and choreography under Ms Nana Eddy. The BASC is modeled after The American Show Choir whereby choristers have to undergo both vocal and choreography training. The choir has been invited to perform in New York, Los Angeles, Florida and Michigan.
