Video courtesy of Steve Blowers. The members of Bournemouth MALE Voice met at central Bournemouth and took a coach off into the depths of Dorset to give a Concert at Tyneham Church. It was an amazing evening – the church absolutely stuffed to capacity the CHOIR uber-vibrant and full of good music. An historic event 70 years on (to the week) from the evacuation of Tyneham and the occasion, the poetry and music stirred up many differing feelings; laughter, poignancy and nostalgia chief amongst them. A privilege to take part in the event – thanks to Lt Col Ken Davies for his perfect organisation of the event – the phrase military precision comes to mind!  less

Thomas Beck's arrangement for CHOIR is complemented by a jazz/folk trio and an added verse with fragments from Vinje's text, arranged by Dag Jansson, including vocal improvisation by three soloists. This piece was featured on the concert program at Musikhögskolan Ingesund on 4 May 2014.
