What was in that candle's light
that opened and consumed me so quickly?
Come back, my friend! The form of our love
is not a created form.
Nothing can help me but that beauty.
There was a dawn I remember
when my soul heard something
from your soul. I drank water
from your spring and felt the current take me.

Water Ruminations is a setting of six poems by the thirteenth-century poet Rumi, in English translations from the Persian by Coleman Barks, for double choir and organ. The poetry sings of literal and spiritual connections between water and sky, a drop of water and human life, flowing water and love, drinking water and its container, the giddiness of spring and rolling seas, and the ocean's gifts and singing. Its images, from 800 years ago, sp... less

So all of the quartets from my various videos decided to get together and try something new: choral music! So they grabbed a few friends and went to it :)
No, but seriously.... Eric Whitacre is a genius, and this song is beautiful.
I would love you forever if you shared this with your friends/family/people you know/people you don't know/people you hate... you get the point... just show everybody :)
You can click on almost any of the quartets (near the beginning of the video) and it'll link you to the video that the quartet was in
I love feedback almost as much as i love new subscribers, let me know if you want me to do more choral videos or if I should stick to barbershop (remember this is my first choral, so they would get better)
as always there is no autotune

Sweet Kate for 2 altos and harpsichord
Sweet Kate, of late
Ran away and left me 'plaining:
“Abide,” I cried,
“Or I die with thy disdaining.”
“Tee! hee! hee!” quoth she,
“Gladly would I see,
Any man to die with loving.
Never any yet,
Died of such a fit,
Neither have I fear of proving.”... moreSweet Kate, of late

“Unkind, I find
Thy delight is in tormenting,
Abide,” I cried,
“Or I die with thy consenting.”
“Tee! hee! hee!” quoth she,
“Make no fool of me,
Men I know have oaths at pleasure;
But their hopes attained,
They belay they feigned,
And their oaths are kept at leisure.” less

Being trapped in our homes due to COVID-19 didn’t keep us from singing together – quarantine rather boosted our creativity and Turned white walls and bed sheets, smartphones and bookshelves into almost professional home studios.
From rehearsing to audio recording and video production, the physical distance between us couldn’t stop our passion for making music together. In times that make us realize what’s most important to us, we felt closer than ever and really understood that … we don’t need fancy!

Unfortunately, a ladybug lands on her neck, however, which distracts him. He then removes the ladybug, but sadly the kiss flies off forever!
