The choral programme starts with a general education for ages 5-7, before they are ready for Junior Choir (7-10), Intermediate Choir (10-13), Stage Choir or Youth Choir (13-18). Youth Choir contains over 80 singers, and the total number of singers meeting each week at the academy is over 180. The junior choirs are directed by Mrs Kate Venvell, Stage Choir is directed by Richard Halton and Julie Gossage, and Youth Choir is directed by Tim Venvell.  less

Currently numbering 18 singers, FCC has a broad repertoire featuring everything from early music and traditional pieces to the works of contemporary composers such as Whitacre, Pärt, Lauridsen and McMillan, and is Highly regarded at home and abroad. In 2011, we travelled to Trondheim, Norway, to take part in Sangforening, a major festival featuring hundreds of Norwegian choirs, and were the first ever foreign choir invited to take part. 2012 saw us visit Languedoc, France, where we gave concerts in beautiful old churches in Alzonne and Montréal, near Carcassonne. We are active in radio and television, having featured in many broadcasts of recorded and live services by the Irish national broadcaster RTE, including one recorded in Swords CoI church which was broadcast on Christmas day, 2010 and Easter and Advent services in 2012 and 2013. Vargas Jr. It became one of the pillars of performing arts in the said School promoting culture and arts through choral music. In 2015, when the Special Program in the Arts established, the group was tied up in order to utilize and serve as training ground for students majoring music with an emphasis in voice performance.
