Its goal is to provide a quality opportunity for choral Singers to learn or improve their craft. The chorus sings a wide variety of music, including classical, spiritual, folk, Broadway and old standards. The group presents two concerts each year – at Christmas, and in the Spring. It has performed with the Temecula Vintage Singers, and for the Temecula Arts in the Country festival, as well as many local appearances for deserving organizations. The chorus rehearses and performs in the Temecula area. The chorus is one of the Resident Companies performing at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater. All women are welcome, who can carry a tune and love to sing. The chorus is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with Tax ID: 20-1694150.  less

The Sierra Boys Choir is the new revival of the Sierra Boys Choir in the 1970s, which was active in the Reno/Sparks/Carson City area and directed by Stan Burke. When Mr. Burke joined the Mario Singers and left to move to Long Beach, CA, the choir was disbanded and a hole was left in the local arts and culture scene. The revival of the choir is a project (and passion) of Nathan Lundholm. Our goal is to provide musical and artistic opportunities to the boys while teaching them to be generous and thankful members of the local and global community. Our aim is to be fun and entertaining on many levels, from practices to shows, even to social events on the town. We put all volunteers through a background check, and we ask some degree of participation from parents. The Sierra Boys Choir is a 501c3 non-profit corp. Formed on 1995, the choir mainly sings at masses at the chapel every week. The members are composed of high school, college students and out of school youth and employees who lives in Timog, CAA, Las Piñas City that is why the former name of the choir was Timog Youth Choir. The name was changed since the choir started to expand its age range from 15-20 years old to open age as long as the member would fit the singing style of the choir. The choir usually held Christmas concerts and performs at quarterly general assembly of choirs in the parish. Last June 2010, the choir became the Champions of the first-ever Choral Competition of the MQAP in line with the parish’s 25th Anniversary wherein they bested other choirs which comprises the whole parish. In August 2009, Mikko Sidoroff started his work as the choir’s conductor. The choir’s repertoire mainly consists of a wide variety of a cappella songs. The choir can be found performing in Turku as well as other cities many times throughout the year. Traditionally, there is a quartet concert in January, a spring concert right after May Day (Vappu) and an advent concert in December. The TYY Choir has participated in many venues outside of Turku. The choir represented Finland in the international choir competition in Coleraine, Ireland in 2006. The competition could not have gone any better as the choir won in the category of mixed choir and was given the award as best choir.
