Life got in the way. We are now actively trying again to recruit new members. The Renaissance Revelers madrigal ensemble performs medieval and renaissance music in the greater Washington DC metro area. The ensemble has performed at the Maryland Renaissance Festival annually since 1987. Are you a choral singer? Do you like to sing old and interesting music in different languages? Do you like to dress in costume and attend renaissance festivals? We have the perfect opportunity for you! The Renaissance Revelers are looking for Singers. All parts are needed, but we are in particular need of tenors and basses. Ability to sight read is not required but is desirable. We perform annually at the Maryland Renaissance Festival with a few gigs also thrown in over the holidays. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings in Rockville, MD. Interested? It was the official choir of the Masaryk University in Brno between 1999 and 2003. Since then it has continued as a civic association. In 2003 Štěpán Policer took up the artistic leadership of Gaudeamus, since 2007 Dáša Karasová has been leading the choir. The choir has been undoubtedly contributing to the advancement of Brno musical culture by giving concerts and appearing at benefit events annually.
