DCMVC rehearses Mondays 7:30-9:30pm at St Osmund's Church, London Road Derby. The choir is also available to book for events. For more information, see our website.

Its mission is to enrich, inspire, motivate and engage the children, not only of the church, but the entire Barracks community in sacred songs among other value oriented musical works which have positive, uplifting and inspirational messages. It's the group's vision to inspire a life-long love for good music and church leadership in the young Singers through the pursuit and enjoyment of musical and other artistic excellence. Children from ages 6 to 18 residing in Accra with consent from guardians are given the opportunity to join through auditioning. Its membership currently stands at 65. The choir sings during communion and lead congregational singing during Sunday School anniversary. Using the simple view that a good song is a good song, has meant that they bring together a collection of pieces that appeal to a wide audience. The choir delights in introducing new songs that are connected by their unique choral sound, rather than from a particular genre and it is this wide appeal and their sense of fun that has meant the group is in constant demand and continually attracts new members. Even in its early days the choir never quite conformed to the accepted norms of what should be included in their repertoire.
