Known for fun, musical diversity and standing room only concerts, we celebrate all genres of music from old school gospel, to current uplifting pop, to civil rights anthems, to traditional songs from nations all over the world. 60 voices strong, the Universal Gospel Choir is an open, justice-oriented group celebrating the best of choral music and committed to lifting and inspiring the human spirit.

We are an auditioned Chamber choir of 30-40 members who love sharing the joy of choral singing with each other and our community. Our regular season consists of at least 4 concerts featuring a variety of musical genres and styles. Because we seek to create meaningful musical experiences, we value interaction and education in our performances. Our audience members often tell us how much they love learning about the music from our director’s comments, which help them more fully enter into the music and enjoy it.  less

We encourage choral singing for all ages and abilities, including those who have never sung in choirs before as well as very experienced Singers. We perform a wide range of music throughout the year and we're committed to contributing to the cultural life of our area. There is no need to audition, just to love singing! Our musical director is Rupert Gill.

An ensemble of nearly 100 auditioned Singers from around the tri-state area, NJCS performs under the baton of dynamic Artistic Director and Conductor, Eric Dale Knapp, accompanied by Linda Sweetman-Waters. The New Jersey Choral Society’s repertoire is among the most diverse in the area, each season providing exciting musical opportunities and experiences for both singer and audience member. The NJCS season consists of December holiday concerts, Pops concerts in March, featuring music from Broadway, American standards and jazz, and late spring concerts of major choral masterpieces and classical selections. Sa Nuit d’Été他的夏夜 萊納．瑪利亞．里爾克(Rainer Maria Rilke，1875－1926)是一位重要的德語詩人，除了創作德語詩歌外還撰寫小說、劇本以及一些雜文和法語詩歌，其書信集也是里爾克文學作品的一個重要組成部分。對19世紀末的詩歌裁體和風格以及歐洲頹廢派文學都有深厚的影響。 此曲一開始，鋼琴即以不協和的音響迅速地營造了夜晚神秘而詭譎的氣氛。接著合唱一步一步地將不同詩句的主題帶進來，這些主題最後相互交織碰撞，燦爛輝煌，彷彿愛情的火花迸放！ Si je pourrais avec mes mains brûlantes f...    less
