Founded in 2008, Northern Lights Chorale is an auditioned ensemble based in the northern suburban area of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Destaca-se em sua trajetória a participação em importantes eventos internacionais, como, em 2007, o 7ª Festival Internazionale dei Cori em Clusone, Província de Bergamo, na Lombardia, na Itália, com apresentações na Chiesa Parrocchiale de Rovetta e no Chiostro dell'Abbazia de Pontida e o XV Festival Internacional de Corais de Criciúma em Santa Catarina. The choristers looked at the formation of the choir as further development to their shared roots from singing with the Limburg Cathedral Boys Choir. They also looked to continue the tradition of successful male chamber choirs founded by former members of Limburg Cathedral Boys Choir, which is unique in Germany. The ensemble has committed itself to presenting the audience with unfamiliar male choir works of the highest level, but without neglecting the traditional canon of compositions, which makes for a exceptional combination. The repertoire includes a range of the following: Gregorian chants, works of old masters, romantic motets, contemporary compositions, arrangements of jazz and pop songs. It typically assembles a choir for a brief time before each performance, then disbands until just before the next concert when a new choir is formed. The singers may or may not be the same each time. The choir is known for its freshness of sound and heart felt connections with the listener.

We perform for many organizations in and around the Western Pennsylvania area. Anyone wishing to sing is welcome and invited to come to a rehearsal prior to committing to the group. No auditions are necessary. We also sing in a yearly competition called Saengerfest held in June each year. Members chorus' are: Altoona, Williamsport, Reading, Lebanon and Mon Yough. Each chorus hosts the competition on a rotating basis. Rehearsals are held each Sunday at Sampsons MIlls Presbyterian Church at 1665 Lincoln Way in White Oak, PA 15131 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The Mon Yough Chorale was formerly known as the Mon Yough Community Singers. The Mon Yough Chorale has a long history in the Mon Valley. The organization started as The McKeesport ChoraLiers in 1962 merging with the White Oak Community Singers in 2001 becoming the Mon Yough Community Singers.
