Soneto de la Noche夜的詩篇 巴勃魯．聶魯達(Pablo Neruda, 1904-1973)，是智利的外交官詩人--內夫塔利．里卡多．雷耶斯．巴索阿爾托（Neftali Ricardo Reyes Basoalto）的筆名，1971年諾貝爾文學獎的得主。這首詩選自他1959年的作品「愛的14行詩一百首」(Cien Sonetos de Amor)的第89首，為一首纏綿的西班牙情歌。它的格式屬於歐洲14行詩，第一段4行，第二段4行，第三段3行 ，第四段3行，在第九行的地方開始轉折。 此曲的旋律衍生自一首安靜而熱情的智利民謠。不同於其他樂章，...    less

Since its formation in 1964, the Choir appears annually at the Welsh Proms and has performed with many of the world’s leading conductors, orchestras and soloists including: Sir Colin Davies; Sir Andrew Davies; Tadaaki Otaka; Owain Arwel Hughes; The London Symphony Orchestra; BBC National Orchestra of Wales; The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra; Raphael Wallfisch, Luciano Pavarotti; Dame Kiri Te Kanawa; Felicity Lott and Bryn Terfel. We have also sung for both the Queen and Nelson Mandela. The Choir’s versatility has led to countless recordings and broadcasts on both Radio and Television, most recently on BBC Radio 4. Commissioning of new works remains high on the Choir’s artistic agenda alongside an active tradition of promoting the work of Welsh composers, notably that of William Mathias, Alun Hoddinott, Geraint Lewis, John Metcalf & Mervyn Burtch.
