PG Carnivalesque" under The patronage of Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech, attracted several hundred people who listened to daring performances of Popular Pop music hits. During The performance we heard choral arrangements of hits such as: "Dancing Queen", "Memory", "California Dreamin'" and "Maria". This time it was not Mozart or Bach, but ABBA, Queen and songs from The musical West Side Story that graced The walls of The Gdansk University of Technology in carnivalesque musical artistic creations. Jazz musicians performed along with The choir, and The musical effects were accompanied by a unique lighting arrangement, which required appropriate space and audience arrangement. The more-than-hour-long performance by The Academic Choir of The Gdańsk University of Technology, conducted by Prof. Mariusz Mróz and accompanied by musicians from The Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, ended with joint singing, encores and a standing ovation.  less

The choir gives and annual Easter and Christmas performance, an annual Summer Concert and European Tour. Their repertoire ranges from Handel’s Zadok The Priest to Karl Jenkin’s The Armed Man. The Choir has performed in many major venues around in Europe, including St Nicolas Church Prague to St Mark’s Venice, and has sung in many commercial concerts including premiere of James Brett’s Book of Dreams and performed for The Queen’s arrival at Bushy Park during her Majesty’s Golden Jubilee, where The choir also deputised for The Opera Babes. The Chorus sings a wide repertoire of music drawn from classical, Pop, musical Theatre and folk as well as The more traditional welsh hymns that are often expected! ​Since it was established, The choir has raised many thousands of pounds for charitable causes over The years.​ We rehearse at The Craven Arms Community Centre every Monday evening at 7:30pm, with The exception of bank holidays, January, and August.  less
