Concerts by The group feature a cappella music of Scandinavia and The Baltics, as well as North-American composers. Music by composers such as Mäntyjärvi, Daniel-Lesur, Rautavaara, Martin and Pärt are ideal showcases for The Choir’s lush and full sound. Members of The group are dedicated to excellence in rehearsing and performing. With a repertoire consisting of 8 to 16-part music, The twenty singers are mostly performing as soloists. Now in its fifth season, voces boreales has already performed in a number of prestigious concert series, such as The National Arts Centre eXpres- sion series, Musique Chez Nous at Bishop's University, Mondial Choral Laval and The Montreal International Bach-Academy. The ensemble voces boreales is produced by The Montreal Choral Institute and appears in its various educational events, such as The Montreal Choral Masterclass.  less

Founded in 1970 by a group of enthusiastic amateur singers, our repertoire ranges from The Great classical choral works to modern contemporary pieces. Under The skilled direction of Howard Kane, who was appointed musical director in 2008, and ably assisted by Robert Woods The Choir has grown in size and reputation. Rehearsals Monday nights are rehearsal nights which are held in Frodsham Methodist Church, Kingsley Rd, WA6 6BA from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. New members are welcome to come along and give us a try. We rehearse from September through to July for our four main concerts, which are held in Frodsham, and also take our music to oTher venues in The area. Groups of singers from within The Choir are available to sing at weddings and The Choir regularly puts on events to raise money for local charities.  less

The focus of our music is located in The Baltic region. Of course! Our cherished and beloved conductor Arūnas Pečiulis is from Lithuania. In 2016 we released our first own CD "Christmas in Orange" with traditional and extraordinary Christmas songs from all over The world. We are also represented with a total of three pieces on The CDs „Salzburg singt 2 - Advent" and „Salzburg singt 3 - Adventkalender" of The Salzburg Choir Association. In 2017 we made our first big trip abroad to Lithuania and Latvia, in 2018 we were one of only two „non-Lithuanian“ Choirs to take part in The Lithuanian song festival „Dainų šventė“ in Vilnius.
