The members, who sing in some of the best choirs in the Country, decided they want more musical freedom and creativity, wilder beats and louder sound of their own voices. Jazzva's repertoire consists of many different genres, pop, rock, classical music, jazz, arrangements of folk songs and many more. As experienced choir singers, they are used to singing with as well as without electronic amplification. They also try to incorporate some choreography to their own music, thus making it even more interesting and fun. At the moment, Jazzva is officially the best a-cappella group in Slovenia. In 2010, 2011 and 2012 Jazzva won at Sredi zvezd, the Slovenian national pop-jazz a-cappella competition three consecutive times. They also got a prize for the best vocal arrangement of the competition all three times (the last two years the arrangements were made by the group's artistic director Jasna Žitnik). The Choir has held concerts in many cities of Greece and abroad, and made a special appearance in Cuba, where it performed a concert in the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi, in Havana, invited by the Cuban Ministry of Culture. The two concerts with the popular oratorio "AXION ESTI" of Mikis Theodorakis at Thessaloniki Palais des Sports and the "CARMINA BURANA" at Thessaloniki Concert Hall, performed in collaboration with Thessaloniki’s State Symphony Orchestra (under the Cultural Olympiad), are the Choir’s most important moments until now. For ages 8 - 18+, the choir generally performs several concerts per year, not including religious servies or regular tours. We sing traditional classical literature arranged specifically for the choir, folk songs, and other works written for trebles. We also sing classical sacred music for various religious servies.

All of them are former members of the “Dresdner Kreuzchor” (Choir of the Church of the Holy Cross Dresden) or the “Thomanerchor Leipzig” (St. Thomas Choir Leipzig), two of the most famous Boy's choirs in Germany. The singers have set themselves the target to present their listeners a wide musical spectrum. Their repertoire consists of vocal music from Renaissance and Baroque to Romanticism to the 20th and 21st century. Important elements are works of Jacobus Gallus, Michael Praetorius, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Francis Poulenc and Rudolf Mauersberger. In addition they also perform with popular music. Music of the “Comedian Harmonists”, “The Beatles”, Billy Joel or the German group “Wise Guys” are also an essential part of their repertoire.
