We are committed to building community through excellence in a cappella harmony, and we love to learn. We rehearse weekly to improve our vocal skills and build lasting friendships in the process. Although we have diverse backgrounds, our members thrive by working together to achieve shared goals. We sing a range of repertoire from jazz standards to 21st-century pop, barbershop to show tunes, but most importantly we sing a cappella. As well as entertaining audiences across the eastern suburbs of Melbourne we compete regularly in barbershop harmony competitions at a national level. Life got in the way. We are now actively trying again to recruit new members. The Renaissance Revelers madrigal Ensemble performs medieval and renaissance music in the greater Washington DC metro area. The Ensemble has performed at the Maryland Renaissance Festival annually since 1987. Are you a choral singer? Do you like to sing old and interesting music in different languages? Do you like to dress in costume and attend renaissance festivals? We have the perfect opportunity for you! The Renaissance Revelers are looking for singers. All parts are needed, but we are in particular need of tenors and basses. Ability to sight read is not required but is desirable.
