Diliup had orchestrated the music in terms of a classical orchestra and recorded it with the vocals of old Royalist Santhush Weeraman of B&S fame and the Royal College choir. The re-recording of the school song was an initiative taken by the Secretary RCU Manju Ariyaratne on the advice of the RCU Council together with the consent of Prinicipal Upali Gunasekra.  less

Come every soul descending in dismay Who dreams to overcome this darkening day, Dispel the myths of mystery, and from these heavy chains you shall be free, Rejoice! Rejoice, the Light is here to help you find Some brightening of your shadow weary mind; To clear the tears of loss and pain, Restore you hope for life again, Rejoice, rejoice, your healing has begun, So dance for joy, the victory is won!
