However, he managed to leave a lot of Song harmonizations and a ...  more Aghias Triados Children's Choir was established in 1967 by a talented young musician, Theodore Papakonstantinou (1948-1969), who had time only to install the foundations of the Choir. However, he managed to leave a lot of Song harmonizations and a significant Mass, which is sung by the choir in the Aghias Triados church of Thessaloniki. From 1969 till now, the Choir continues its work successfully having as its director his elder brother Vassilis Papakonstantinou, with whom it has given many concerts in more than fifty cities in Greece and aboard, as well. It has visited Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerlandn, Hungary, Czech, Bulgaria, France etc. It has won first prices and gold metals in choir competitions. One of the most important parts of Aghias Triados Children's Choir's history is its participation with European Union Youth Orchestra and Vienna's Youth Choir, to the performance (Athens, 1985) of the third Symphony of Leonard Bernstein under the direction of the composer.  less

Our performances intentionally address themes highlighting diverse solo and choral voices, new and underrepresented composers, visual and other performing arts, and community partners. ReSonance seeks to reflect on the most pressing social issues of our times through performing new music and sharing many perspectives. As Oregon Arts Watch wrote in June 2019, “they do social justice music justice: their concerts are part social commentary, part group therapy, and part best damn choir show in town.” Our concerts are designed to reflect the times, and audience members often tell us that they see their experiences reflected in our thought-provoking performances.  less

The FGC "Golden Girls are proud of being the founder members of this young up and coming Girls Choir in the Western Cape. FGC is a High School choir that is comprised of girls between the ages of 13 and 18.

It was Mr. Bonnie Fonseka, a distinguished Old Boy, who's vision soon came to be a Benedictine tradition, by forming a musical club. This prompted the birth of the first College Choir. The Choir acquired a reputation for top class singing and in addition often invited to perform at important national events such as to perform with other schools when princess Elizabeth visited Ceylon in 1952. Since Mr. Bonnie Fonseka’s retirement there were many dedicated young musicians who undertook the responsibility and uphill task of training the Choir. Some of them were Mr. Robert Joseph, Mr. Francis De Almeida, Mr. Nicholas Johnpulle, Rev Bro. Augustine and Mr. Ravein George. Mr. Ravein George revived the Choir in 1996 and guided them to reach the height of success as being cited as a Classical Choir. The Choir won the all island singing competition in the year 1999. The objective was to bring about musical performances (of choral works by foreign and Nigerian composers) of sufficiently high standard for international consumption, within the limitations of national resources. The CHORALE which has grown in size to over 100 singers has given numerous concerts in Lagos and other towns in Nigeria, including Aba, Abakaliki, Abeokuta, Abuja, Benin, Calabar, Eket, Enugu, Ibadan, Ife, Nsit Atai, Oko, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Umuahia and Uyo.
