We aren't charging a fee but we'll ask for donations to cover the cost of using the building and we'll find a way to fund the sheet Music. Paralia is a touristic seaside village situated on the west coast of the Thermaic Gulf and in the shadow of Olympus. The Festival has two parts: competitive and non-competitive. However, the character and the main concept of both parts is joining Music, vacation, friendship and fun. The idea of the Festival is to bring the Music closer to the people and to present the Music on the streets and the squares of Paralia, Olympic Beach and Katerini. All Choir ensembles, regardless of the members’ gender and age can apply for participation at the Festival.  less

It typically assembles a Choir for a brief time before each performance, then disbands until just before the next concert when a new Choir is formed. The singers may or may not be the same each time. The Choir is known for its freshness of sound and heart felt connections with the listener.

The group is one of Madagascar’s top Choirs and aims for Musical excellence and artistic innovation. Various performances have been given since its debut in major places around the country. ICanto’s repertoire is eighty percent a capella and the Choir interpretes all genres of Classical Music, from ancient to modern as well as rearranged traditional Malagasy Music. The Choir is conducted by Fitah Rasendrahasina.

Concert group counts about 60 people, mainly students, academic teachers and friends outside college. Our repertoire has about 80 a capella works (from medieval to contemporary composers), large sacred forms by Haendel, Mozart and Mendellsohn Bartholdy and 40 carols. We have performed at several festivals and international events (Germany, France, Switzerland, Bulgaria). We are interested in a close partnership with the other Choirs outside Poland (exchange tours and joint appearances)  less
