The professional choir performs in Boston and New York with a unique group of Singers from all over the country. The group is made up entirely of students at Berklee College of Music. The name, Crepusculum, is the Latin word for twilight, or the perfect blending of light and dark (voices).  

The Hutt Valley Singers and The Major Minors Children's Choir have both been nominated as finalists (Arts & Culture) Upper Hutt in the Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards.   For me, personally, this is a thrill as I accompany both choirs...

Five classically trained female Singers combine their flexible voices and powerful stage presentation in their own unique way. Seemingly effortless and simple, every gesture and every sound used to good effect, adventurous from beginning to end. The Singers sang together in the Netherlands Youth Choir. They hit it off so well there that the ambition developed to continue together in female a cappella repertoire; a relatively rare genre very dear to the hearts of all five. The top quality displayed since by Wishful Singing – both aurally and visually – makes the ensemble unique in the world. The repertoire ranges from modest works from the Renaissance and Baroque eras to swinging versions of golden oldies such as Mister Sandman. The ensemble provides a full evening’s entertainment that leads the audience from one surprise to the next. The emotions summoned up vary from hushed poignancy to screams...    less

Performing with an ensemble of 10 Singers and no conductor, Chicago a cappella is recognized as one of the area’s most accomplished vocal ensembles. Under the direction of artistic director John William Trotter, the group spans a repertoire from Gregorian chant to the Beatles and beyond and is known for its performances of sacred works, vocal jazz and pop, folk and international music, as well as a special focus on music written in the present generation. Since its founding in 1993, the ensemble has introduced dozens of works to Chicago audiences for the first time, including commissioned works by Chen Yi, Stacy Garrop, and Tania León. Chicago a cappella has toured to 13 U.S. states and Mexico and has appeared on national radio broadcasts, including American Public Media’s "Performance Today." Our Singers come together from a wide range of towns in Eastern and Central Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Each season we perform choral masterworks with professional soloists and a professional orchestra. We have recently performed: the Mozart Requiem, the Mass in B Minor by J.S. Bach and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Carmina Burana, Ola Gjeilo Dark Night of The Soul, and currently rehearsing the Verdi Messa Da Requiem under the artistic leadership of conductor Anne Watson Born. We love making great music together, and we work hard in rehearsals to bring an expressive and thrilling sound to our performances. We are a jovial and friendly group of people from all walks of life who enjoy singing together.  less

"Almas de Barro" Music and lyrics by Santiago Veros. Foreward: Santiago Veros wrote Almas de Barro at the age of 19, dedicating it to a Young woman who at the time was shy and with whom he rarely talked. This piece intimately describes the moments during music theory classes when the two would look at each other continuously, youthfully, and silently, as if unable to do anything else. The piece, written as a counterpoint assignment, was intended to be performed during music theory class as a declaration of love. The idea was to make a musical representation of those moments.
