The group was formed with some of Brisbane’s best and most experienced Ensemble singers, most of whom sing regularly with other choirs in and around the city and have extensive performing and touring experience both around Australia and internationally. The singers range across an assortment of careers, from educators to environmental engineers, and from students to musicians. They are drawn together because of their passion for singing and produce an energy in performance that immediately connects with their audience. In programming, Fusion specialises in early and new music – from Jean Mouton and Juan Gutiérrez de Padilla to Cyrillus Kreek, Arvo Pärt, and Henryk Mikolaj Górecki. The Ensemble prides itself on delivering an artistic product that combines choral maturity with youthful vibrancy to bring a fresh sound to music that is not often performed in the region.  less

Papandopulo composed "Pozdrav Zori dalmatinskoj" on August 1st 1976 in Opatija (Croatia). Written in 1844 by Ana Vrdoljak, a poetess from Imostski (Croatia), the lyrics of this song date back to the times of Illyrian movement, celebrating the launching of the magazine "Zora dalmatinska", a literary and educational weekly issued in Zadar, thus being the first Croatian literary magazine to be issued outside Zagreb (from 1844 to 1849). The song was published on the cover of the No. 44 of the magazine, issued on October 28th 1844.  less

Comprised of professionally trained musicians, Innismara is dedicated to the performance of the intimate and hidden treasures of the vocal Ensemble repertoire. Innismara made its debut in the summer of 2010 at Muses and Minstrels: A Festival of Early Performing Arts held in conjunction with the Cupids 400 celebrations. In collaboration with the Hot Earth Ensemble, Innismara performed music from the late Renaissance and early Baroque, highlights of which were recorded for national broadcast on CBC Radio. The success of these performances led to an invitation to participate in a series of workshops and performances in the Labrador Inuit communities of Nunatsiavut in the spring of 2011.
