It typically assembles a Choir for a brief time before each performance, then disbands until just before the next concert when a new Choir is formed. The Singers may or may not be the same each time. The Choir is known for its freshness of sound and heart felt connections with the listener.

Concert group counts about 60 people, mainly students, academic teachers and friends outside college. Our repertoire has about 80 a capella works (from medieval to contemporary composers), large sacred forms by Haendel, Mozart and Mendellsohn Bartholdy and 40 carols. We have performed at several festivals and international events (Germany, France, Switzerland, Bulgaria). We are interested in a close partnership with the other Choirs outside Poland (exchange tours and joint appearances)  less

Since its formation in 1964, the Choir appears annually at the Welsh Proms and has performed with many of the world’s leading conductors, orchestras and soloists including: Sir Colin Davies; Sir Andrew Davies; Tadaaki Otaka; Owain Arwel Hughes; The London Symphony Orchestra; BBC National Orchestra of Wales; The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra; Raphael Wallfisch, Luciano Pavarotti; Dame Kiri Te Kanawa; Felicity Lott and Bryn Terfel. We have also sung for both the Queen and Nelson Mandela. The Choir’s versatility has led to countless recordings and broadcasts on both Radio and Television, most recently on BBC Radio 4. Commissioning of new works remains high on the Choir’s artistic agenda alongside an active tradition of promoting the work of Welsh composers, notably that of William Mathias, Alun Hoddinott, Geraint Lewis, John Metcalf & Mervyn Burtch. We range in age from 18 to 75. We strive to inspire Singers, audiences and community through the beauty and power of diverse chorale music. We perform four major concerts per year, including a holiday program, a classical performance with orchestra, and a spring pops concert.
