Oh, they tell me of a home far beyond the skies, Oh, they tell me of a home far away; Oh, they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise, Oh, they tell me of an unclouded day. Refrain: Oh, the land of cloudless day, Oh, the land of an unclouded day, Oh, they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise, Oh, they tell me of an unclouded day. 2. Oh, they tell me of a home where my friends have gone, Oh, they tell me of that land far away, Where the tree of life in eternal bloom Sheds its fragrance through the unclouded day. 3. Oh, they tell me of a King in His beauty there, And they tell me that mine eyes shall behold Where He sits on the throne that is whiter than snow, In the city that is made of gold. 4. Oh, they tell me that He smiles on His children there, And His smile drives their...    less

The success of this project led to a charity performance of Messiah co-directed by Patrick and Peter Holman at the Swinburne Hall, Colchester Institute, which was part broadcast by Classic FM. Since then the choir has presented three or four concerts each season in Colchester (usually at St. Botolph's Church), often featuring baroque music. Many of the original members still sing with the choir, which is intended for experienced choristers (members sing with other choirs and some have solo careers) who can sight read well and respond to direction, thus enabling concerts to be performed with only two or three rehearsals. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Colchester-Bach-Choir/330623297057?ref=hl  less
