"Oh dolce notte, oh sante
ore notturne e quete
ch'i disiosi amanti accompagnate;
in voi s'adunan tante
letizie, onde voi siete
sole cagion di far l'alme beate."
"O sweetest night, o blessed
hours of calm and darkness,
the boon companions of desire-filled lovers;
in you there gather all
the pleasure that make you
the single source of our blessedness."
("La Mandragola" - excerpt from the song after the fourth act)

Nolo mortem peccatoris
Nolo mortem peccatoris; haec sunt verba Salvatoris.[I desire not the death of a sinner; these are the words of the Saviour.]
Father, I am thine only Son, sent down from heav’n mankind to save.Father, all things fulfilled and done according to thy will, I have.Father, my will now all is this: Nolo mortem peccatoris.Father, behold my painful smart, taken for man on ev’ry side;Ev'n from my birth to death most tart, no kind of pain I have denied,but suffered all, and all for this: Nolo mortem peccatoris.
Thomas Morley’s contribution to British music was inestimable and included the publication of England’s first musi... less

Despite the many blessings and gifts that we receive from God on a daily basis, many of us fail to recognize or appreciate them. We take the beauty of nature, the love of our family and friends, and even our own existence for granted, forgetting that each of these is a precious gift from our Creator.
Ultimately, our ingratitude towards God is a reflection of our own spiritual blindness and ignorance. We fail to see the many ways in which God is present in our lives, and we fail to recognize the many blessings that He bestows upon us each day. If we truly wish to overcome our ingratitude, we must learn to open our hearts and minds to God's presence, and we must strive to cultivate a spirit of gratitude and thanksgiving in all that we do.

PG Carnivalesque" under the patronage of Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech, attracted several hundred people who listened to daring performances of popular pop music hits. During the performance we heard choral arrangements of hits such as: "Dancing Queen", "Memory", "California Dreamin'" and "Maria". This time it was not Mozart or Bach, but ABBA, Queen and songs from the musical West Side Story that graced the walls of the Gdansk University of Technology in carnivalesque musical artistic creations.
Jazz musicians performed along with the choir, and the musical effects were accompanied by a unique lighting arrangement, which required appropriate space and audience arrangement.
The more-than-hour-long performance by the Academic choir of the Gdańsk University of Technology, conducted by Prof. Mariusz Mróz and accompanied by musicians from the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, ended with joint singing, encores and a standing ovation. less

This season, our upper choir singers worked with Jazzmeia Horn, Sydney Guillaume, ... less
