BSC chamber Singers is a 16-voice auditioned vocal ensemble dedicated to understanding and applying the intricacies of the choral art to advanced choral literature.

Singers are therefore welcome to apply at any point, since the group will be fixed from a central pool for each concert. Repertoire is wide-ranging, from Renaissance polyphony to commissions from established and emerging British composers. The group is directed by Hilary Campbell and welcomes interest from experienced and enthusiastic choral singers of all ages.

Originally formed by a group of friends in 2005, the ensemble has since grown exponentially and “has made a name for itself in recent years as a champion of new music.” - New York Times 2/14. The group is composed of talented students of the college from different levels, gathered together by their common passion, the passion for singing. But talent and passion is not enough, rehearsing is also one of the essential elements in creating good music. The MVHS chamber Singers were invited to perform at the Western Division American Choral Directors Association in Tucson, Arizona. Then in March 2011, chamber Singers performed at the ACDA national conference in Chicago, Illinois.  

We are a group of friends who got to know each other while singing in the same academic or chamber choirs. Eventually, our passion for the classical music led us to create our own vocal ensemble. In our repertoire there are also some pop music arrangements.
