Membership is Open to Anyone with or without choral experience. We aim for high stAndards, And of course strong singers are always valued – but you don’t have to be able to read music, And there are no auditions. The age rAnge of members stem from 20 to over 70 so there is room for everyone. If you’re not sure which voice part you are then Christopher Wray, our Musical Director, cAn help you with this. The Choir performs three public concerts each year, at Easter, in the Summer And at Christmas. We also support the local communities by singing at various events And this includes raising funds for charities. Each year we also sing away from London which combines singing to Another community, or combining a performAnce with their choir, with a fun day out. The Games included twenty seven thousAnd singers from four hundred choirs representing seventy three countries. DozAn wa Awtar, under the leadership of its Founder And Director Shireen Abu Khader, competed in two categories: Scenic Folklore And Mixed Choirs; singing Arabic songs in both And receiving a Gold Diploma in each category. This is the first time JordAn is represented in An international choral competition. On this occasion, Shireen Abu Khader expressed her immense pride at this accomplishment And international recognition And commended the continuous efforts of the singers which led to this achievement.
