We rehearse at The Bundoora campus of La Trobe University, Victoria, Australia on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Our objectives are to rehearse and perform choral music, to participate in InterVarsity Choral Festivals and to do whatever else seems relevant. The Society is a non-auditioned choir, but it has been suggested that we could have a small, auditioned group within The society (perhaps called "Graduate Singers" or such like). AnoTher possibility is that we could sing at graduation ceremonies in Union Hall. AnoTher possibility is a joint concert with anoTher UCS. And what sort of music should we sing? Madrigals? The choir, which began at Brigham Young University as an early music Ensemble, transformed into one of The premier non-collegiate chamber groups in The Western United States. This award-winning Ensemble achieves high performance Standards by drawing on The rich musical heritage of The region. Many Cantorum singers have solo careers and all have sung with top collegiate Ensembles. A number have also sung as members of The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Utah Chamber Artists, and Salt Lake Vocal Artists. In addition, Cantorum is proud to have a high representation of talented choral educators. The group won both of its categories at The 2016 Interkultur competition and received special commendation for Their performance of Dale Warland and Hugo Distler. The seeds of The Choir were first planted back in mid-2012 when Maddy was asked to set up a choir to perform a small concert at her local church near to Stratford Upon Avon.
