Our music is focused in medieval music from the Northwest of Spain. But the repertoire is also based in traditional and popular music in different languages. But the repertoire is also based in traditional and popular music in different languages. We have participated in choral meetings with some composers like Javier Busto, Julio Dominguez and Josu Elberdin. In Europe, Canta Compaña offered his music in Poland, France, Netherlands, England and Scotland. Krakow, Edinburgh or Canterbury were some of the cities where the concerts were held. We love meetings with other choirs and exchanges.

In his review of the “American Voices” program, Scott Cantrell of The Dallas Morning News wrote “The variety certainly displayed the ensemble’s impressive versatility. Habermann consistently got vivid performances, introspective music elegantly colored and shaped, extrovert fare delivered with great pizzazz. Individual Singers got lots of solo exposure.” Now in his eleventh season, Artistic Director Joshua Habermann leads the Chorale in repertoire spanning seven centuries, from early polyphony to contemporary works. The composition of the Chorale is truly national in scope and the ensemble is recognized as one of the finest American Chamber choirs. That Choir was formed in the spring of 2008 by Craig Pike and 14 of his actor friends who wanted to create an...  moreNow in its 3rd year, That Choir combines a high level of performance with a deep love of the choral art as one of Toronto’s newest choral groups. That Choir was formed in the spring of 2008 by Craig Pike and 14 of his actor friends who wanted to create and share a music experience together. That Choir now brings together over 25 members with diverse backgrounds in work and study, and a mixture of trained and untrained voices. New Canadian artists are important for That Choir to nurture and have already performed new works by J. Scott Brubacher as well as Reza Jacobs in December 2010. Also in December of 2010, That Choir invited Canadian Theatre Artist Nancy Palk to read Dylan Thomas's " A Child's Christmas in Wales" as part of That Choir Carols - an annual celebration of the Holidays. As That Choir looks forward into 2011, it is becoming well known for its a cappella repertoire of many styles and periods with a strong focus on storytelling.  less
