It is based in Tsuru City, located at the foot of Mt.Fuji. Under the our conductor, Prof. Masahiko Shimizu, we always practice in this place, blessed in nature, with many friends who get together at Tsuru University. Including the annual concert held on "World Chorus Day" on the second Sunday of December every year, we perform at elementary and junior high schools, social welfare facilities, etc., and sing at chorus festivals, giving the "TSURUBUN SOUND" in a variety of venues. We have also awarded at the All Japan Chorus Competition in many times and often won top prizes in the largest chorus competition in Japan.  less

We're a Choir of about 40 adults who enjoy singing contemporary and fun songs in a relaxed environment. We rehearse on Monday nights above a pub in London SE22. We currently have a waiting list for Alto and Soprano parts but we're worth it!

With an inclusive approach our members have different levels of singing experience and come from a variety of backgrounds. We aim to make choral singing as accessible as possible to all men. Our performances offer something for all tastes with an eclectic mix of folk, opera, pop, sacred and classical pieces. The Choir selects a diverse range of Music Music which is both familiar and new to our audiences enabling us to touch on as many different styles and genres as we can. We are always keen to hear from potential new members. You don't need to be able to read Music and many of our members have not sung in a Choir before. As long as you can sing in tune and are willing to learn, then you are half way there. A disciplined approach and an enthusiasm for a wide range of Music will also stand you in good stead.  less

We are girls who become like family through our shared passion for Music. Each member auditioned by our Choirmaster, andre van der Merwe, and attends Stellenberg High School. Our repertoire consists mainly of Gospel, Acapella, Classical, Folk/Ethnic, and Sacred Music. We compete in various national and international competitions and strive to share beautiful Music with the world while being cultural ambassadors for our country. Achievements: - Overall winners of the "ATKV Nasionale Applous-kompetisie" for 12 times (1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011). - In 2002 they won the category for Women's Choirs at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod in Wales. - In 2004, we were awarded the highest percentage for any Choir at the World Choir Olympics. - In 2006 we won the much acclaimed Choir of the World trophy in Llangollen Wales. ...    less

Due to an intensive and hard work, its members receive a full choral and scenic education, structured in the vocal individual technique and its different types of sound emission; on the development of corporal skills expression, and in the grupal practice of the choral exercise. Directed by Hilary Campbell, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, the group was formed a decade ago, while the singers were studying at the University of York, and relocated to London in 2007. In York, Blossom Street filmed a medley of Christmas carols for BBC2, which was broadcast during the snooker final in 2005, and since then has performed nationwide and beyond. They sang to Prince Charles on ITV1 as part of his 60th birthday celebrations, and gave their debut in Queen Elizabeth Hall as part of the Voicelab series in 2009.
