The choir developed fast and increased its artistic level. Already in November 2007 it took part in National choral Competition "Cantio Lodziensis" in Lodz and won the second prize and Minister of Education Special Award. Since then, the choir has taken part in many competitions and choir festivals in Poland, always winning awards. It is the best of its kind in Lodz and one of the best in Poland. Directed for more than ten years by Michael Bawtree, its repertoire spans the Renaissance to the present day and has included the Scottish premieres of works by James Whitbourn, Hans Gál, Jan Dismas Zelenka, Richard Bush and Judith Bingham. The choir performs regularly in Glasgow and central Scotland, and has toured to France, Holland and Sweden, where it has formed links with other choirs. Recent BBC radio engagements have included William Walton’s Henry V Suite with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Sunday Worship live and Bryan Burnett’s ‘Get it On’ show live on BBC Radio Scotland.
