Bringing togeTher very nearly 40 mixed voice singers all sharing The same passion, They hail from countries from around The world and representative of 4 continents. The repertoire consists principally of contemporary music with anglo-saxon origins and from The very best of musical Theatre as seen in London's West End or on Broadway in New York. The International Singers are beginning to wow The people of Lille and The surrounding areas of NorThern France with Concerts in public venues as well as at private functions organised by civic bodies as well as associations etc. Musical Objectives The International Singers is a choir structured around anglo-saxon values and traditions. These dynamic and talented singer...  moreThe SYC was formed in 1998, as children's choir singers grew and Voices changed! This four part chorus (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) is devoted to music of all styles, including Classical, Broadway and Contemporary tunes. These dynamic and talented singers range in age from 14-25, and include young women in gr.11 and higher, and young men with changed Voices. The SYC annually participates in The Family Christmas Concert, and choreographed year end show. They also stage an Orchestra Concert each spring, which has presented pieces such as Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, Vivaldi's Gloria, and Requiems by Mozart, Faure, Rutter, and Daley, to name a few. This year, The SYC looks forward to singing Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. The Youth Chorus joined The senior and chamber choirs in Their 2009 tour to The UK. They were ecstatic to receive 8th place standing in The Mixed Voices category at a festival that boasts participants from over 50 different countries.
