All sessions run from 1pm to 4pm, and are being held at Phoenix Community Centre, Brighton, BN2 9ND (except 08/11/2015) I am running five sessions. Everyone is welcome, and no previous singing experience is necessary. Each session will introduce new songs, as well as continuing to work on a core repertoire. Singers in this Ensemble demonstrate a high level of commitment to choral singing and to sharing this art with audiences at home and around The world. The Chamber Choir forms The core of Cantilon’s touring and recording program and participates in many exciting and unique activities throughout The year. The Chamber Choir performs locally in concert at least four times per season, and competes in music festivals at local, provincial and national levels. The Chamber Choir generally follows a three-year touring cycle: a regional tour in year one, national tour in year two, and an international tour every third year. In addition to its regular concert series, The Chamber Choir is often invited to perform with The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Pro Coro Canada, Edmonton Opera and The Richard Eaton Singers.  less

Their diverse repertoire ranges from Mozart and Rutter to Take That and Snow Patrol with a good dose of musicals and Disney thrown in for good measure. The seeds of The Choir were first planted back in mid-2012 when Maddy was asked to set up a choir to perform a small concert at her local church near to Stratford Upon Avon. The choir are all good friends and met in a variety of ways from oTher choirs, bands and performing arts groups. Co-directed by Peter Ness and Asher Farber, with piano accompaniment, The choir requires no auditions, just a love of singing and The ability to carry a tune! We rehearse from September to June on Tuesday evenings in The Bathurst and Finch area. We also perform regularly for seniors at residences in The GTA.
