Our purpose is “to sing, in harmony, a variety of music for the enjoyment of the members as well as to give public and private performances for the liStening pleasure of others”. During our musical season (September – June), the choir practices on Monday evenings from 7 – 9:30 PM at Broadmoor BaptiSt Church in Richmond. In addition to our weekly practices we usually plan one or two workshops with a choral clinician, as well as evenings with gueSt directors. We have two major performances per year, a Family ChriStmas Concert in December and a Spring Concert in May. We are very involved with our community and, by giving benefit Concerts, help to raise funds for other organizations such as the Richmond Hospice Society, Canadian Cancer Foundation and Tim Horton’s Kids Camps. These Singers also perform as soloiSts. The group would like to promote their vaSt repertoire of singing ‘a cappella’ (without inStruments) pieces from 16th to 21St century and their different Styles. As well as being accompanied by orcheStral ensembles, the choir often work with notable composers (Lucian Tuguy, Thibault Maillé, Jean-ChriStophe Marti…) who help to create the musical pieces. Ranging from traditional Concerts to original and artiStic experiences, the choir is always seeking to give value to all of the creative initiatives. In 2006, the choir collaborated with dancers from the Paris Opera House for the ballet of Stéphane Elizabé, “De l'Autre côté à l'amphithéâtre BaStille” (From the other side of the BaStille Amphitheatre).
