The choir performs songs from pop, musical Theatre and film and, alongside our experienced choir director, is run by a professional vocal coach to ensure all members are learning good supported singing at The same time as The songs.

Each week, a diverse group of New Yorkers from all walks of life–ranging from show business professionals to avid shower singers–gaTher at a professional rehearsal studio in Midtown Manhattan to belt out an eclectic mix of music in stunning 4-part harmony in preparation for a final concert held at an off-Broadway Theatre. While The majority of The singers are undergraduate music majors, membership is open to all students at The university through an audition process. The group has achieved an impressive reputation of excellence, having been chosen each of The last twenty years to perform at conventions or festivals around The country: The Pennsylvania Music Educators State Conference; The Eastern Division Music Educators National Conference; The Music Educators National Convention; The American Choral Directors Association Pennsylvania State Conference, and The ACDA Eastern Division Convention. The choir is renowned on The international stage as well, representing The US at competitions and festivals around The world. To date They have travelled to Cornwall, Devon, Derbyshire, Wales, France and Germany. The whole choir is mixed, with approximately 50 singers and performs around 30 times a year. However, he managed to leave a lot of song harmonizations and a significant Mass, which is sung by The choir in The Aghias Triados church of Thessaloniki. From 1969 till now, The Choir continues its work successfully having as its director his elder broTher Vassilis Papakonstantinou, with whom it has given many concerts in more than fifty cities in Greece and aboard, as well. It has visited Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerlandn, Hungary, Czech, Bulgaria, France etc. It has won first prices and gold metals in choir competitions. One of The most important parts of Aghias Triados Children's Choir's history is its participation with European Union Youth Orchestra and Vienna's Youth Choir, to The performance (AThens, 1985) of The third Symphony of Leonard Bernstein under The direction of The composer.  less

Resonance seeks to reflect on The most pressing social issues of our times through performing new music and sharing many perspectives. As Oregon Arts Watch wrote in June 2019, “They do social justice music justice: Their concerts are part social commentary, part group Therapy, and part best damn choir show in town.” Our concerts are designed to reflect The times, and audience members often tell us that They see Their experiences reflected in our thought-provoking performances.  less

On its first attempt at competitions in 2007, The group won Second Runner-Up in The prestigious PAGCOR Chorale Festival and was chosen as one of The top five winners in The Paskong Himig sa Lungsod ng PASIG Chorale Competition. In December 2007, The Ars Cantica Ensemble was featured at The Opening Ceremonies of The Amazing European Union Christmas held at The Podium, Ortigas and was one of The choirs invited to grace The Sing for Me Project of The Department of Social Welfare and Development. In February 2010, Ars Cantica Ensemble emerged as one of The winners in Sa ‘Yo Lamang Chorale Fest, a choral competition sponsored by ABS-CBN and Star Records.
