It was the official choir of the Masaryk University in Brno between 1999 and 2003. Since then it has continued as a civic association. In 2003 Štěpán Policer took up the artistic leadership of Gaudeamus, since 2007 Dáša Karasová has been leading the choir. The choir has been undoubtedly contributing to the advancement of Brno musical culture by giving concerts and appearing at benefit events annually. The establishment of the chorus is to build a platform for the youth to promote choral music and realize their dreams, as well as to organize different cultural exchange activities to promote music and serve the society. In the summer of 2011, HKVC held their debut concert “Sing Out a Dream” in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall to raise funds to support the charitable work of the Lions Club of Central. In 2012, the chorus organized and performed five shows of a grand scale original youth choral musical “Like. So?”. The musical received positive comments and the chorus was even invited by renowned pianist Ms. Nancy Loo to an interview and performance in her RTHK 4 Radio Program “Cantilena”. Cantate is a mixed-voice youth choir based in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire. It is open to all young Singers, whatever their background and musical upbringing. Cantate comprises three choirs for children and young people which all perform to an exceptionally high standard. Cantate performed at the Royal Albert Hall, both in the BBC and Schools Prom Concerts, the Royal Festival Hall, the Barbican, the Guildhall London, 10 Downing Street, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Basilica of St Francis in Assisi, St Mark’s Basilica in Venice, and in many local and regional venues. Cantate has gained many national and international awards. In 2008 we achieved international acclaim at the world’s largest choral event – the World Choir Games in Graz, Austria – in which over 430 choirs from some 90 countries competed. Cantate won gold and silver medals, and was the only UK choir to win a gold medal in the finals.  less

We are a newly formed ensemble of women's voices from Canterbury in Kent. Our repertoire ranges from classical motet to jazz and female barbershop. We perform on a regular basis across Kent and have on going partnership links with choirs in the UK and France.
