Under the leadership of founding Artistic Director Joshua Copeland, the ensemble strives to present as diverse a program as possible of the world’s greatest choral literature, both sacred and secular, and has performed works ranging from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary masterpieces with a core group of ten to twelve of the New York metropolitan area’s finest singers. In 2008, Antioch was awarded first-place honors in the highly prestigious Tolosa International Choral Competition in Spain, establishing them among the top rank of professional Choirs in the world. In recent seasons, Antioch has been called “stellar,” “flawless,” “an exceptional group,” and “a spectacular example of what a classical Choir should sound like” by th... less

TEXT (1., 2. und 5. Strophe):
In einem kühlen Grunde
da geht ein Mühlenrad;
|: Mein' Liebste ist verschwunden,
Die dort gewohnet hat. :|
Sie hat mir Treu versprochen,
Gab mir ein'n Ring dabei;
|: Sie hat die Treu gebrochen,
Mein Ringlein sprang entzwei. :|
Hör ich das Mühlrad gehen,
Ich weiß nicht, was ich will,
|: Ich möcht am liebsten sterben,
Da wär's auf einmal still. :| less

HomeChoir is a new way of learning Music. You don’t need to be an accomplished singer to take part. HomeChoir members watch and sing along with Ben - teaching is one-way so nobody can hear us but the neighbours! - and are also invited to take part in the live text chat with Ben and with fellow singers around the world. There is a vibrant and friendly social community among the Choir.
If you can’t join in live, then you can still enjoy the Music-making at any time. All our sessions remain available on YouTube after the live streams end for watching on catch-up when you can, and as often as you like.
It is not necessary to be able to read Music, and where scores are needed, Ben will display them on screen to help you learn. As well as traditional and classical choral pieces, Ben teaches a huge range of ot... less

LUMEN VOCALE Soloists Ensemble
We are a group of friends who got to know each other while singing in the same academic or chamber Choirs. Eventually, our passion for the classical Music led us to create our own vocal ensemble. In our repertoire there are also some pop Music arrangements.

In new season the Choir continues to make up steps towards new artistic activities. The main activities of the Choir are finding the new ways to Music, its expresion and presenting new ideas, cooperation with composers and many professional Musicians.
