Founded in February 2008 in order to bring polished intimate and historical choral music to local communities, VAE regularly performs in Northern CA and has toured abroad in Ireland. Richly themed programs celebrate the elegant beauty of Renaissance motets, tonal color of modern works, and exotic flavor of music from other cultures. VAE relies exclusively on donations at concerts to defray costs. Singers volunteer their time and talents but are not required to pay dues.  less

In Abgrenzung von Kammer- und Kirchenchor stiftete der Name „Jedweder Küchenchor“ eine Identität, die es in der Folge erlaubte, sich quer durch das Repertoire der Musikliteratur zu singen. Nach den anfänglich ausschließlich musikalischen Chordarbietungen, entdeckte der Chor immer mehr die Lust zur kreativen Bühnengestaltung und begann dramaturgische Elemente in die musikalische Darbietung einzubauen. Für das Programm „Familie Grinzinger besteigt einen Berg“ 1997, engagierte er erstmals eine Regisseurin (Nika Sommeregger), die den Chor bei der Inszenierung unterstützte. It's members represent the multi-ethnicity of Hawaii's population and include singers of Asian, Pacific, European and American backgrou...  moreThe Honolulu Chorale, established in 1966, is one of the oldest non-audition community choruses in the State of Hawaii. It's members represent the multi-ethnicity of Hawaii's population and include singers of Asian, Pacific, European and American backgrounds. Singers from all walks of life, ranging in age from teens to octogenarians make up the membership of the group. The Chorale presents two major concerts each year, in addition to sponsoring a Community Chorus Festival and performing at care facilities and retirement homes. In past years they toured Hawaii's neighboring Islands, Europe, Japan and China and are planning a trip to Ireland in the future. Membership in the Chorale is open to adult singers of the Oahu community.  less

Le 6 avril 2002, c'est sur la scène du Théâtre National de la Criée de Marseille, qu'ils ont donné la première représentation d'un Opéra crée sur le Stabat Mater de J.B. Pergolèse. C'est ensuite en 2003 à l'Odéon de Marseille et en 2004 à Vitrolles, que cette représentation s' est poursuivie. Le choeur continue le 9 Mai 2004 avec l'interprétation du Stabat Mater à l'Abbaye St-Victor de Marseille, lieu culte de la musique sacrée. En 2008 c'est au Toursky avec l'opéra des opéras "Le Choeur des Anges" que le choeur se représente. Le consécration est enfin venue le 4 Avril 2013 avec le spectacle OperasSimo représenté à l'opéra de Marseille à guichet fermé. Depuis septembre 2005 une nouvelle formation du choeur est née : ce sont les " les binjamins" . Eaton, RES has played a leading role in Edm...  moreRES is dedicated to the enjoyment, study and performance of great choral music, to an international standard of excellence, and to fostering the appreciation of this music. Founded in 1951 by the late Richard S. Eaton, RES has played a leading role in Edmonton’s cultural community for more than six decades. In addition to presenting its own concerts, the choir is a regular guest of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, and collaborates frequently with other Edmonton ensembles, including the Alberta Baroque Ensemble in this performance. It has also collaborated with other Canadian choirs in the past, including the Calgary Philharmonic Chorus, the Vancouver Bach choir and the Winnipeg Philharmonic choir. This past summer RES embarked on a two week tour of Germany, highlighted by performances at the St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, where Bach was Kapellmeister for much of his career.  less

They have been auditioned and selected from a program of 250 singers and identified as the cream of the crop based on their beauty of vocal tone, musical intelligence, sight reading ability and academic achievement. They are also instrumentalists, actors, athletes, student leaders and ambassadors of LSHS. Most importantly, they are students who are DEDICATED to being the best they can be. As a result of these high standards, Sounds of Summit has developed a reputation in Lee’s Summit and around the nation as one of the elite high school level performing ensembles. We are frequently asked to perform with UMKC’s Conservatory, as well as multiple appearances at the Missouri Music Educators Convention.
