The choir performs three or more significant concerts in Edinburgh each year, and has become known further afield through broadcasts and concerts in Scotland, touring abroad, and singing in support of local and national charities.

We are committed Singers, who can prepare music independently before a short intensive rehearsal series, and have opportunities...  moreIrish Doctors Choir members are enthusiastic and experienced Singers, mostly, but not exclusively, doctors or medical students. We are committed Singers, who can prepare music independently before a short intensive rehearsal series, and have opportunities to perform some of the great works from the Classical choral repertoire to a high standard and in exciting venues. We also enjoy singing simple music well at smaller performances on our rehearsal weekends and at conference events. Although our performances are mostly in Ireland, we have quite a few Singers from other countries, including UK, France, Germany and Sweden. During 2020, we have held online rehearsals using Zoom and produced two online concerts, raising 11,000 Euro for charity.  less

On November 14th, 2009 the Vancouver Cantata Singers teamed up with ICORD (icord.org) for a fabulous gala fundraiser at the acoustically luscious Blusson Spinal Cord Centre. VCS performs Franz Biebl's Ave Maria in the atrium.

With the addition of Richard Larson as artistic director and a handful of additional Singers, the group quickly found a footing in the cultural fabric of Denver, Colorado. Now entering its 15th full season of performing, the group has expanded into an auditioned ensemble of 54 volunteer Singers who meet weekly to rehearse. Many of the Singers come from schools with strong choral music programs, such as Augustana, Brigham Young, Concordia, Luther, St. Olaf, Wartburg, and the University of Northern Colorado. Kantorei established itself as one of the nation’s premier choral ensembles after performing as an auditioned choir for the 2003 National American Choral Directors Association Conference at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
