It has built up a considerable reputation singing under some of the world's most distinguished conductors and appearing on radio and television.

The choir has rich concert acti... moreThe core of the team consists of students and graduates of the Gdańsk University of Technology. The choir's repertoire is very diverse. The band sings mainly sacral, including orthodox music, but also contemporary and folk. The choir has rich concert activity in the country and abroad and with great success has participated in many choral contests and festivals. The ensemble performed hundreds of concerts and presented its skills at competitions and festivals in Germany, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary and many others. The choir has recorded a few CDs: "Bogoroditse Devo, Raduisya" from 2008, "Musica Sacra" from 2013, "Canticum Canticorum" from 2017. First and foremost, its name is closely associated with its first conductor Artūrs Bobkovics (1885-1959), who already then had become "the king of Latvian symphonic music". He organized the concerts of symphonic music and helped promote them. For the first time, the choir came together in the evening of October 18, when about 90 students gathered at Riga Secondary School No 2. The testing of voices was not very strict, and of the entire enthusiastic crowd only one student was rejected. Then, for a month, rehearsals were held, in which the voices of would-be Singers were trained and made to keep in tune. After that another testing was held. This time the competition was much stricter, and only 40 Singers were selected.
