We sing a varied repertoire including religious, traditional Irish, classical and popular. We take part in many concerts, fundraisers and competitions. There is a very friendly, social atmosphere in the choir and new members are always welcome.  

Marsh Ladies choir was founded in 1955 and in 2015 will celebrate its Diamond Jubilee. The Yorkshire based choir is around 40 members strong and has developed a wide repertoire from classical and folk to swing, jazz and songs from the shows. The choir maintains a busy schedule of concerts and competitions both in Huddersfield and further a field.  

On Saturday 22nd March the choir gave a concert at Westbury on Trym Baptist Church. A select audience were given a well thought out programme including this piece, The Sound of Silence.

This is the choir’s 99th album to be released. Founded in the 1670s, the choir is known for its distinctive rich, warm sound, its expressive interpretations and its breadth of repertoire. Alongside these musical characteristics, the choir is particularly proud of its happy, relaxed and mutually supportive atmosphere. The choir is directed by Andrew Nethsingha following a long line of eminent Directors of Music, recently Dr George Guest, Dr Christopher Robinson and Dr David Hill.
