PREMIERE PERFORMANCE
lyrics: Ana Vrdoljak (1833-1869)
A part of the concert held on August 8th 2013 in Tribunj (Croatia) during the first edition of "Papandopulijana Tribunj", a festival which has been initiated in the honour of Boris Papandopulo (1906-1991), one of the greatest Croatian composers.
Papandopulo composed "Pozdrav Zori dalmatinskoj" on August 1st 1976 in Opatija (Croatia). Written in 1844 by Ana Vrdoljak, a poetess from Imostski (Croatia), the lyrics of this song date back to the times of Illyrian movement, celebrating the launching of the magazine "Zora dalmatinska", a literary and educational weekly issued in Zadar, thus being the first Croatian literary magazine to be issued outside Zagreb (from 1844 to 1849). The song was published on the cover of the No. 44 of the magazine, issued on October 28th 1844. less

Our motto is: "One Choir, One Community, No Divides, ALL Abilities"
The aim of Music Matters and our inclusive community Choir projects is to unite all of our members through the universal language of music - regardless of previous musical experience, ability, language, socio-economic status or other barriers which may prevent our members from being able to fully participate in other musical groups.
Our choral projects include: inclusive community Choirs for people with and without disabilities, Choirs specifically for adults with intellectual disabilities, and Choirs for older people, with a particular focus on those with dementia and memory loss.
There are now a total of ten Choirs operating in the Dublin area, with more planned for 2015!

"Oh dolce notte, oh sante
ore notturne e quete
ch'i disiosi amanti accompagnate;
in voi s'adunan tante
letizie, onde voi siete
sole cagion di far l'alme beate."
"O sweetest night, o blessed
hours of calm and darkness,
the boon companions of desire-filled lovers;
in you there gather all
the pleasure that make you
the single source of our blessedness."

One of the most important facets of Mood Swing is that we have fun with what we do and it comes across not only in our singing, but also in our performances. We may not have perfected laughing and singing at the same time, but we give it a fair go!
Since 2001, Mood Swing have been wowing audiences with our full sounds and suave choreography. With a range of music from '20s swing, African songs, traditional gospel, contemporary hits and fun ditties arranged in three and four parts, Mood Swing have something for all ages.
Fabulously led by Lisa Schwabe, Mood Swing have been singing around Melbourne at concerts, churches and private functions to the delight of all who see and hear us. Don't you be the one to miss out! less

That was our answer, unexpected even for us, since we hadn’t thought of a name yet. It happened on a December night in 2001 in Sopron in front of the Dömötöri Patisserie where we sang Christmas carols for the passersby. We didn’t notice being founded, only the joy of polyphonic singing. It was, and still is our experience that making music together strengthens existing friendships and facilitates the development of new ones.
We started out with 13 people and our numbers have only been growing ever since, we count 25-35 members on average. We gladly sing anything may that be it religious or secular, Hungarian or from abroad regardless of its period or language if it fits our skills and numbers.
We sing in churches, restaurants, museums, the Academy of Music, small villages in Hungary or Austria, at international competitions, libraries – anyplace where we are welcome.
Singing in a Choir is a demanding activity; it takes a lot of time, energy, discipline a... less
