Its aims are to rehearse and perform a wide variety of music to a high standard, and to engage with the local community, both in its membership and by bringing top quality performances to the local area and beyond. We also plan to have a lot of fun doing it!We don’t hold auditions and are delighted to welcome new members of all voice types and experience levels.

Formed in 2008, VoG is proud to be the Hell's Kitchen, New York Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS). Voices of Gotham is open to all singers in the TTBB range interested in the barbershop style. Since the chorus' founding in 2008, VoG has rapidly distinguished itself as one of the country's leading incubators of both new barbershop music, and of young musical artists who will shape the continuing evolution and excellence of the barbershop tradition. VoG is ranked by the BHS as one of the top ten barbershop choruses worldwide. With over 85 members and growing, VoG is a dues-paying organization that includes high school and college students, professional actors and musicians, and people of all walks of life who simply enjoy raising their voices in song.  less

We run inspirational residential courses and training programmes, create remarkable concerts and performances, and work in partnership to get singing happening in schools and open settings. We do it because singing together at the highest level transforms young people's lives, and we want to make sure that as many as possible get the chance to experience it for themselves.  less

We rehearse, in excellent facilities provided by Hutchesons' Grammar School, on Monday evenings, Aug - Nov and Jan - Mar; we give two concerts, in Nov ...  moreHCS is a non-auditioning, mixed-voice choir of approx 60 voices, based in the south side of Glasgow. We rehearse, in excellent facilities provided by Hutchesons' Grammar School, on Monday evenings, Aug - Nov and Jan - Mar; we give two concerts, in Nov and Mar, in an on-site auditorium, with 3-manual digital organ. The auditorium can accommodate 60 singers, up to 30 orchestral players and an audience of around 250 (300 max).  

This composition is based on a text from Alice in Wonderland, which appeals to children and youth choirs directly. The poem has a clear structure (verse – chorus), and the vocal parts are kept straightforward. The striking piece contains some Jazzy chords and humorously unexpected twists. This work won the first prize in the 2013 Composition Competition of the European Choral Association in the frame of the festival Youth Choirs in Movement.

Hailing from places as far afield as Truro and Coverack and ranging in age from thirty-something to eighty-something they unite once a week in Penryn to indulge and nurture their love of singing. The women of Mabe Ladies Choir take their music making very seriously, constantly striving to achieve the highest artistic and technical standards. That said, they do spend an inordinate amount of time laughing! Whether it’s in the rehearsal room or the concert hall the emphasis is on fun & enjoyment, for choir and audience alike. Rule Number One of being a Mabe Lady is to have fun. There is no rule Number Two  less
