Recorded live on Friday, May 16, 2014, at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Performed by the Chamber Singers Ensemble of the Girl Choir of South Florida. Artistic Director: Wallis Peterson, Accompanist: Gayle Giese. Give us a palette to paint us as we are. Enough of black and white, yellow and red, Those false colors that sham at fact. Coffee chocolate, and cafe au lait Ivoried-saffron and saffroned-ivory, Bronze and brass, copper and rose gold, Tea and pale butter, golden almond, Infinite varieties of browns and tans, Pale rose, pink, and soft rose cream, Mahogany, oak, cedar, and champagne. These are the colors of people I see, Not black and white, not yellow and red. Those false colors no longer will do. Give us a palette to paint us true.  less

We perform at annual shows, community events and competitions, and several members are also in quartets. TuneTown Show Chorus puts a contemporary spin on traditional barbershop singing and has won four Sweet Adelines regional chorus competitions to go on to represent a multi-state region in international contests.

During the choir’s existence, it has taken par...  moreFounded in June 1977, the present Whitehaven Male Voice Choir has established an enviable reputation among the musical world of male voices in Britain, along with appearances on local radio and television. During the choir’s existence, it has taken part in many musical festivals, and proven its quality by winning many first prizes, and has been joined in concert by world renowned soloists and choirs from Britain and America. Every year, the choir perform around twenty concerts throughout Cumbria, raising thousands of pounds for charitable organisations and other worthy causes. The services of the choir are provided entirely free of charge to the organisations they perform for. Outside the county they have performed in such notable venues as The Royal Albert Hall, London; on three occasions, Cardiff Arms Park; twice, Sheffield Arena and in Edinburgh.
